The Purpose: To model, train, and equip this rising generation of young believers in servant leadership attitudes and actions through the disciplined study of God’s Word and selected opportunities to practice servant leadership skills in the camp ministry setting.
Scripture Basis: Mark 10:42-45
“...Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.  And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all.  For even the Son of Man (Jesus Christ, Himself) did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Goals:
1.  To stimulate an ongoing desire and daily practice for the teen participant to grow in his/her spiritual commitment to Christ.

2.  To enable the teen participant to identify God given abilities and talents that can be used to bless others and glorify God.

3.  To allow for growth in responsibility and trustworthiness through the direct involvement of assigned, supervised tasks within daily camp operation.

 Qualifications:
1.  Must be 16 yrs. of age by the start of the camp program - July 10, 2011
2.  Must satisfactorily complete the staff application, interview, and medical forms requirements.
3.  Must participate in an entrance, acceptance interview with the camp director
4.  Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and demonstrate a desire to mature in their Christian faith and commitment to Christ

 Responsibilities:
A.  Attend and participate in all LTD teaching/training sessions, mentor meetings, and complete the reading/study assignments
B.  Serve alongside and work closely with the various leadership staff
C.  Be considerate of others’ needs and looking out for the well being of the campers who are here
D.  Take full ownership of whatever opportunities you have to serve and learn through the numerous experiences offered
E.  Adhere to the camp policies and practices outlined in the staff training manual
F.  Refer any discipline problems to the appropriate leadership staff person  

 Cost: $375 for the 5 week program
(Scholarship assistance may be available as pertaining to individual need - contact the camp director concerning this)
Leadership Training and Development Program (LTD)
